Maheder Haileselassie Tadese is an independent photographer and writer based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where she was born and raised.
She works with news outlets including AFP, Reuters, and Mongabay to report on social, political and environmental issues, primarily in East Africa. Her work has appeared in numerous exhibitions around the world since 2016.
She is a contributor for the internationally-acclaimed group Instagram feed, @everydayafrica and has also been accepted to programs such as World Press Photo Masterclass East Africa 2018 and The New York Times Portfolio Review 2019.
