Maheder is greatly interested in photography education in Ethiopia. She founded CPE– Center for Photography in Ethiopia, a platform for training, discussion, collaboration and conversation for emerging Ethiopian photographers. Since its starting point in 2017, workshops, mentorship programs, exhibitions, installations and presentations both within and outside of Ethiopia has been delivered under Maheder's coordination, design or guidance.
